About the Speakers:
Megan Mackson is a Principal Auditor at University of Michigan with 13 years of audit and ACL experience. She graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a Masters Degree in 2002. Became a Certified Internal Auditor in 2004, a Certified Fraud Examiner in 2009, and an ACL Certified Data Analyst in 2013.
Lisa Beymer, Principal Auditor, has been in the University of Michigan audit department since 2008. Prior to this, she worked in audit at Comcast Cable. Lisa is a Certified Internal Auditor and a Certified Fraud Examiner, and earned her Bachelor's of Business Administration from Eastern Michigan University.
Ann Vollano is in her 25th year as a staff member at the University of Michigan Athletic Department. As an Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance, she serves administrators, coaches and student-athletes in all 31-varsity sports. In her role, Vollano is responsible for interpreting and communicating NCAA and Big Ten rules to coaches, Athletics Department staff and student-athletes, other campus units and people outside the University. In addition, Vollano oversees 36 compliance monitoring systems and is responsible to ensure all of the documentation is accurate and complete.
Vollano earned her bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Eastern Michigan University in 1990 and her master's degree in Sports Administration from Wayne State University in 1997.
Scott Robinson, Director of ACL’s Public Sector Practice has been with ACL for over 5 years, helping clients succeed in fighting fraud, waste, and abuse using innovative techniques such as data analytics, continuous monitoring, and GRC. Scott specializes in Entitlement Fraud Detection/Prevention, and has helped many government clients utilize data analytics, and advanced workflow solutions to combat overpayments without delaying payment of legitimate claims. Scott has presented at multiple ACL, AGA, NSAA, and NASWA conferences with a focus on utilizing modern technology to combat against fraudulent and wasteful activities. Scott has a Bachelor’s Degree from Acadia University with a focus in Political Science and Psychology.
