How to Enter
Submit your entry by providing a brief overview of your project, using the 2017 ACL Impact Awards entry form. Attachments or documents are not necessary to enter the contest, simply fill out the questions on the form to get started with your submission. Please submit your entries in English.
We will begin our first-round review of entries on March 6, 2017. Semi-finalists will be contacted by ACL, with a request for additional details. Final selection then takes place, with winners announced by May 2017.

Prize Package
There will be one Grand Prize winner and two runners-up. Winners (one person per organization) will receive:
- Roundtrip economy airfare to Nashville, TN
- Three-night hotel at the Gaylord Opryland Resort (September 24-27, 2017)
- Complimentary ACL Connections conference registration
- Winners whose entries meet the ACL Certified Data Analyst (ACDA) certification criteria will also be awarded the ACDA designation title.
Prizes must be accepted as offered with no substitutions, are non-transferable and may not be redeemed for cash.
Winners will be required to be onsite at ACL Connections 2017 to receive their award during the Awards Luncheon. The Grand Prize winner is also required to speak on their project during a one-hour session on Tuesday, September 26, 2017.
Eligibility
This contest is open to all persons who have reached 19 years of age and who are resident in a province/state and/or country that do not prohibit such contests. This contest is not open to authorized representatives of ACL (including distributors, agents,
trainers and consultants) and employees or officers of ACL, its subsidiaries, affiliates or authorized representatives.
Entries
All entries become the property of ACL. ACL assumes no responsibility for lost, delayed, destroyed or misdirected entries. You warrant and/or agree as follows:
- You are the original author of the Entry and you have full right and authority to submit the Entry;
- That by submitting the Entry, you do not breach any confidentiality or other contractual obligation and, where necessary, you have obtained appropriate consent to disclose and license to ACL all information contained in the Entry;
- You grant ACL a perpetual, royalty-free, world-wide license to copy, reproduce, modify, alter, publish, distribute or otherwise use your Entry in any manner, including, but not limited to the development of marketing materials, such as success stories, press releases, articles and marketing campaigns; and
- You permit ACL to publish your name and full details of your Entry with your organization’s prior approval in the form of a news release. ACL may approach you for participation in a case study, customer video, speaking opportunity etc. at a later date.
ACL will not be obliged to return any materials submitted by you, which materials may be returned or destroyed at ACL’s sole discretion.
Guidelines for Submission
Entries will be judged by a panel of judges selected by ACL, which may include academics, independent consultants or other members of the compliance industry. Judges are looking for demonstrated business value to the organization, with the help of ACL technology.
Initial SubmissionInitial phase of nomination process starts from March 6-12, 2017 and includes a few questions to gather information on the customer’s award qualifications. The answers provided will help the judging panel select the semi-finalists. Attachments or documents are not necessary during the initial phase of the contest.
Phase 2 – Semi-Final RoundAfter the initial phase, semi-finalists are contacted by March 13,
2017 and asked to complete the second round nomination form and submit a more comprehensive description of their success story through the use of ACL technology. This round may include interviews as well as the form submission.
Agreements
The selected winners must sign a standard release prior to being awarded their prize, which release will include confirmation of compliance with the contest Rules and Guidelines and acknowledgment that the contest sponsors, judges and ACL are not responsible for any claims or liabilities arising out of any matter related to the contest and the prizes awarded.
Chances of Winning
Chances of winning are dependent upon the relative merits of the Entries submitted by entrants, and on the number of Entries received.
The 2017 ACL Impact Awards Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and is void where prohibited by law. These contest Rules and Guidelines may appear in languages other than English, but in the event of a conflict between those other versions and the English version, the English version will prevail.
